This isn’t a blog about feminism, nor is it a commentary about how 2018 is the year of the woman. This is a simple message on why I personally believe in female empowerment (now hear me roar…just kidding).

As a young girl, I was fortunate enough to have parents who supported whatever idea I had, whether it was to switch majors, move to Italy, learn a new language, pursue art or all of the above! As I grew older and started my own business, I never thought that some jobs were for men while others were for women. For me, it was all about finding the best “person” for the job. And if life has taught me anything, it is that it is often a woman who does the better job, which is why a quick glimpse into our operation will reveal that my team, from the farm to our front office, is predominantly female.

Women have the ability to multi-task and multi-focus, making them more open to undertaking new assignments. They express empathy and loyalty and are more willing to communicate and receive feedback. Women are more driven and take pride in their work.

Beyond that, women have a high sense of responsibility to their family. You know that every dinar earned is spent on food, clothes, books, supplies and paying bills. Providing is their only priority.

By empowering a woman, you are empowering an entire household. Now, isn’t that a wonderful notion?
